Emma Legal
Emma Legal is an AI-platform that speeds up legal due diligence for M&A deals. It scans documents, finds risks in clauses, and flags missing or problematic files, so law firms, investors and in-house teams don’t have to slog through every contract manually. Its goal is to deliver deep legal insights quickly and securely, helping users close deals faster with more confidence.

Emma Legal came fresh from VC funding, so the first step was building a clear strategy. I worked with the founders to understand the product, target users, and investor expectations, then shaped a brand identity that balanced authority with approachability. This led to the choice of a serif font paired with clean layouts, a royal blue palette to signal trust, and gold accents to add a sense of exclusivity.
With no in-house design team, Emma Legal needed a lean and reliable design system. I created modular components and clear rules around typography, colour, and layouts so their team could quickly produce landing pages and marketing materials without losing consistency. To support this further, I produced a full brand guidelines document that they can reference as the company grows.
I designed the full website with a focus on clarity and engagement. This included grid-based layouts, simplified visuals to explain the product, and integrated video sections for walkthroughs and interviews. Dark and light mode variations kept the user experience dynamic, while the refined branding ensured the site felt both modern and professional.
